Kite making & kite flying competition on Basant Panchmi 

Chandigarh, February 15, 2024: NSS Panjab University organized at UILS department  *kite making & kite flying competition  on Basant Panchmi*  for which the theme was Nature and Earth under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Goyal (Programme Coordinator,NSS) ,Dr. (Prof.) Shruti Bedi (Director,UILS) & Dr. Anumpam Bahri (NSS Law unit Coordinator) , the event celebrated tradition and camaraderie. 

Participants showcased creativity and skill, crafting magnificent kites that soared against the campus backdrop. A Plantation Drive and Rangoli designs further enriched the festivities, promoting environmental conservation and cultural appreciation. Dr. Bahri highlighted the event's role in fostering creativity and teamwork, while Dr Goyal praised participants for their sportsmanship and community engagement. The competition started with kite making by participants and then there was a stall of kites as well which were sold and was followed by kite flying competition .The competition exemplifies UILS's commitment to holistic education and community enrichment, embodying unity and celebration through colorful kites dancing in the air. 

On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami and event aimed to celebrate the arrival of spring. All the participants keeping mind theme Nature and earth reflected it through their work. Almost 50 students attended the event under Event Coordinators Dev & Sparsh.
