KCLIMT Organises Induction Programme for upcoming Batch of Management & Computer Science Students

Jalandhar, July 17, 2015: An Induction programme was organised in KCL-IMT welcome their new batch of Management & IT students & in order to make them familiar with professional environment.

The programme started with Inaugral of New Auditorium with Capacity of 400 students by Sardarni Balbir Kaur (President Governing Council),Sardar Jaspal Singh Waraich 9Joint Secretary),S.Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director, Academic Affairs),Dr..S.K Sood (Director) & Prof G.K Jain (Vice Principal).After that welcome speech  was delivered by by  Dr.S,K Sood  (Director, KCLIMT). He further stated that our students are our top priority and the focus of all our efforts. We strive to ensure that besides providing quality education, our students get ample opportunity to involve themselves in extra & co curricular activities. This inculcates in them the feeling of independence & decision making.  As college life is the foundation of students’ future, we lay foremost emphasis on enhancement of student’s personality, knowledge & professional skills through various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Sardarni Balbir Kaur (President,Governing Council)  stated that KCL-IMT is a place, which ensures that the student receives a high quality education and an all round personality development by organizing such events. At KCL-IMT, the emphasis is on the holistic growth & development of students, to make them competent enough to accept the challenge of the corporate world.

S.Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academic Affairs) stated that  our endeavor is to make our students a good team member, firm decision maker and an efficient leader. We also endeavor to inculcate moral, ethical and human values to make them responsible citizens of the country.  Students of KCL-IMT are groomed both on the technological and techno-managerial fronts through innovative teaching – learning methodologies.

Mr.Ishant Kumar(Director, Auribises Technologies Private Limited) gave presentation to the students. He guided the students regarding the current & future scenario of IT. He stated that With Prime Minister Narendra Modi Digital India  initiative , in future the students of IT will get ample opportunities for JOB i.e. “Ache Din Aane Wale Hain”.

After that a presentation was given on Examination & Evaluation Criteria to make students aware about continuous Assessment procedure & Examination style & formats of University by Dr.Inderpal Singh (Associate Professor),

Dr.S.K Chadha (Professor& Head, Punjab University Chandigarh) presented a motivational talk to the students. He stated that in Globalized scenario, in order to meet challenges of Job, One has to be self motivated. He stated that we should have passion for job & positive attitude to cope with job politics & occupational stress. The Mantra for Success is “Self Commitment” & “ Self  Gratification”

Mr.Anil Gangta (Assistant Director) gave presentation on Importance of softskils in current Scenario.

Mr.Raman Deep Deol & Mr. Kamal Nain Sharma also welcomed the students of their respective departments & stated that they will provide best environment to their students ,so that thet can excel in each & every field.

Students were also made aware about Placements in the Institute by Dr.Sukhmani Waraich & Mr.Hitesh Marwaha. Rimpi Begowal & Ms.Nidhi Chopra gave presentation about Co-Curricular Activities organized in the Institute.

The other dignitaries present were S.Jaspal Singh Waraich (Joint Secretary),S.Sukhbir Singh Chatha, Prof.G.K Jain (Vice Principal) & Dr.Y.S Ranhawa (Director,LKCE).
