'IT Fest 2019' held at DAV College

Jalandhar, February 8, 2019: 'IT Fest 2019' held at DAV College, Jalandhar . Whole auditorium enjoyed on the tunes of ROCK BAND. Gavie & Group presented songs ' Intehan ho gai...Saat samundar paar... jism hai toh kya.. dumadam mast kalandar .. like songs.. Along with entertainment, competitions also held at IT Fest. In Dav auditorium, IT forum organised 'IT Fest 2019' . Dr.Rajesh Grover (Director, Pushpa Gujral science city)made his presence as a chief guest and Shri Ritesh kumar Pathak scientist ( Scientist pushpa gujral science city) and Shri Arun Arora ( Associate Architecturer, Myntra Designer pvt. Ltd) marked their presence as the guest of Honour. Function inaugurated with Principal Dr. S. K Arora, Vice Principal V.k Sareen, Vice principal Arun Mehra, Dr. Rajesh Grover, Shri Arun Arora by lightning the lamp. Before which chief guest and guest of honour were welcomed by presenting a flower bouquet. After which DAV song was played. Head of IT deptt. DR . Nischay Behl informed about the activities of department to everyone and gave wishes to all the participants . Principal Dr. SK Arora, Vice Principal Vk Sareen, Vice principal Arun Mehra gifted College Monumental to Dr. Rajesh Grover, Shri Arun Arora. They welcomed and thanked guest for marking their presence. Principal Dr. S.k Arora congratulated computer department for the fest. He said Computer department has made ways through entertainment for students for taking part in activities . It helps in mental and educational upliftment of scientists. So these type of fest should held in which students should get the chance of showing their talents. Dr. Rajesh grover said' I am feeling happy by coming here, in this Youth i am feeling young. These types of fest not only makes us aware but also develops a feeling of love towards our country and culture inside us. They also helps us in eradicating social evils. He also encouraged students for being happy. HOD of Computer department and President of IT forum Dr. Nishche Bhel said that this Festival is organised every yeat specially for students of Computer Science through which their talent is evaluated on the basis of their intelligence, creativity, artistry and general knowledge. After This Gavie began the Cultural Program with a song mashup along with his band members and the Audience enjoyed it alot . Then Sahil and Group gave a very impressive Bhangra Performance. After This students showed various talents in which Nikita and Simar presented Choreography, Jitender presented Western dance and Abhijeet Bhandari gave a Bollywood Song performance. Deepika and Group presented "Punjabi Culture" through their Dance Performance. Ritesh with his impressive singing presented Old Bollywood Songs. Pradeep and Group made the whole Auditorium laugh with "Baba Universe" Skit. Nikita presented western Dance,Ashish presented Punjabi Folk song ,Satyajit and Group presented Choreography on "Kasuti Degree". Sahil presented Sufi Dance,Sarbjeet and Group presented Bhangra ,Abhi Gill presented Bollywood Mashup,Priyanka made a fusion with Bharatnatyam . Horror Mime was presented by Jitender and Group , Sudip and Deepali presented Choreography . Khushpreet Kaur presented Kathak and Punjabi Song presented by Priyanka. Giddha was performed by the Department students which was enjoyed by everyone . Songs were performed by Gavie with his Rock Band with which the ambience of the auditorium became rocking. Gavie sang "Jugni, ae dil hai mushkil, intehaan, duma dum mast kalandar etc " and the whole crowd enjoyed it. In the end ,Head of Department and IT Forum President ,Dr. Nischay Behl thanked all the guests and the participants . Prof .
