International Seminar on Role of Media in Promoting Peace in South Asia on April 9-10

Chandigarh, April 7, 2016: The International Seminar on Role of Media in Promoting Peace in South Asia being be held on 9th & 10th April 2016 at Chandigarh University Gharuan campus under the aegis of the University Institute of Media Studies (UIMS) in collaboration with the Society for Promotion of Peace. A delegation of Senior Journalists, Columnists, Literature Laureates and Peace Activists from Pakistan will grace the occasion with their presence.

Mr. Harish Khare, Editor in Chief, The Tribune will deliver the key note address for inaugural session.

Chandigarh University is an elite institution providing a unique academic inspirational model for the upcoming generation and playing a vital role in discussing National & International issues. Peace in South Asia has been an important issue for a long time. Society for Promotion of Peace is an organization of Journalists and Social Activists across India. This is for the first time when Chandigarh University and Society for Promotion of Peace are coming together to provide an International platform for the Fourth Pillar of Democracy to discuss this biggest issue.
