International Family Day was held at The British School, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, May 16, 2015: An event was organized in the school’s Sec 44 premises to observe International Family Day. Students were taught importance of family in the fast changing world of today, by coloring activities for members of family. The senior Wing students from Social Studies department presented a play that focused on the theme of ‘Uniting the World as a large family’ in times of natural disasters like the Nepal Earthquake. The play showcased how all countries united to put in humanitarian efforts for Nepal. Said Mrs. Mona Shri Sethi, Principal, “The idea behind the International Family day activity was to give the message that the entire World is one big family and each member will take care of other members of this huge family.”
