An Inter Departmental Chef competition being held at Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions Loharan Jalandhar. 

Jalandhar, March 9, 2015: Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions Loharan Jalandhar organised chef competition in its Hotel Management and Catering Institute. It was a competition between BscHMCT-4th semester and BscHMCT-2nd semester students. The students prepared various cuisines as per the guidelines and instructions given by the Chef instructors to them. The students prepared dishes included Indian, South Indian, Continental, and Chinese and Bakery items. It comprises of Murg Musalam, Murg Korma, Brocelli Prantha, Paneer Korma Beat Root Halwa,, Vegetable jalferozi Chilli chicken etc.

In this chef competition 20 students were selected on the basis of their dishes prepared by them and 2 students were divided in each group and total 10 teams were made by the chefs. Each team is given name from Team A to Team J. All the ingredients and bakery items were provided to the students by the college. The teams were given two hours time to prepare their dish .All the teams prepared their dishes in the kitchen department and they give final presentation in the restaurant of Hotel Management Department. Chef Gagandeep and Chef Ravinder Selected Team A Rahul and Anmol Bakshi as first prize winners and Team E Saroj and Neelam as second prize winners.

Dr.Anup Bowry Secretary Bowry Memorial Educational & Medical Trust congratulated the students on this wonderful victory and he further said that practical knowledge is most important in this course moreover presentation also needed as a flavor in a particular dish for the judgement.He also thanked Principal of Hotel Management and the Chefs of Hotel Management department for this competition.
