Jalandhar, March 22, 2016: The Department of Computer Science & IT of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised Inter Department Competition with the Collaboration of IT Forum & EDC (Entrepreneur Development Cell) of the college. In this competition, students participated in various activities like Group Discussion, One Minute Games and Business Plan. Principal Dr. Sucharita shared her views that such Intra- College competitions are always fruitful for the overall development of students. She said whereas group discussion brings flood of thoughts in the minds of participants at the same time games always have a soothing effect for them.
Students keenly crossed their horizons of thoughts on the topics of group discussion like Make in India vs. Made in India, Support by Government for Startup is Sufficient or Not, Entrepreneurs are Born or Made and Ayurvedic FMCG Business set to change the face of Indian FMCG Business - Agree OR Not. In Business Plan, students learnt the manners and matters of running a business successfully. One minute games not only polished their skills but also entertained them. M.J Kalra, Former Professor, Guru Nanak Dev University College, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, Mr. Sudhir Gera, Director Operations at IEC Gensets and Mr. Ashish Arora, Asstt. Prof. Guru Nanak Dev University College, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar judged the performances. They were highly impressed to see the level of knowledge possessed by the college students. They also applauded the idea of Department of Computer Science and IT for providing such a platform to youngsters where they can explore their personalities in this era of technical revolution.
Principal Dr. Sucharita cherished the efforts of Ms. Roopali Sood, Head, Department of Computer Science and IT, Mr. Jagmohan Mago, Incharge, Entrepreneur Development Cell and Ms. Pallavi Verma, Incharge, IT Forum for successfully conducting this event.
