Inspite of paying high toll tax condition of National Highway in pathetic condition

Ludhiana, July 20, 2018: S.Upkar Singh Ahuja, President & Sh.Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU in a joint statement said that inspite of paying heavy toll tax the condition of National Highway is in pathetic condition, the NH-1 project has not been completed yet, due to this, Industrialists facing issues like Bad conditions of the roads, leave unconstructed bridges, heavy rain water on the service lanes, High Toll Tax, Animals on Roads, no management for Crossing of Pedestrian etc.

They further said that the bridge near Apollo Hospital, Ludhiana construction has been going on for over many years, due to which a 1-km patch of NH1 has been closed. Meanwhile, commuters, who are coming from the various states on NH1 continue to be harassed by frequent traffic jams at unconstructed flyovers.

Moreover, while Heavy Raining the Water struck on the Roads and it has developed potholes/ cracked due to heavy traffic. However, the concerned officials seem to be unaware of these problems.

They also write a letter to Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways of and Sh. Ravneet Singh Bittu, Member of Parliament, Ludhiana to look into this matter as this has become serious concern.
