Chandigarh, December 4, 2015: Infosys Chandigarh in association with NASSCOM hosted a conference on the changing face of IT at its campus in Chandigarh on December 3. The conference saw 21 IT companies and 4 educational institutions from Chandigarh tri-city (Mohali and Panchkula) and New Delhi participate.
The conference commenced with a keynote by Mr.Prem Goswami, Vice President – HR, R Systems International, on the HR strategy for SMEs in the IT industry and on leveraging technology. This was followed by a panel discussion led by Mr. Vikas Ahuja, Head, Infosys Chandigarh on the various HR challenges faced by organizations today and the role of collaboration in addressing these challenges. The panel also discussed methods of attracting the best talent in the industry, strategies to reskill employees in a dynamic technology landscape and ways to constantly innovate to provide better products, services and solutions to clients. The panel emphasized on the importance and positive impact of consistent employee engagement initiatives in an organization.
The participants also discussed best practices followed by various organisations and highlighted aspects on how the HR function has evolved today to partner with businesses right from planning to deployment of best in class strategies, thereby enabling employees to deliver their best.
