INDIAN NAVY HOLDS MEGA PLACEMENT DRIVE AT DAVIET UNDER UES SCHEME

Jalandhar, November 7, 2017: A team from Ministry of Defence (Indian Navy) had visited DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET), Jalandhar on 06th & 07th November, 2017 for conducting Campus Interviews under University Entry Scheme(UES). More than 400 students from DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology,Gurunanak dev University,Global Institute, Sant Baba Bhag Singh Institute of Engineering & Technology, Rayat Bahra University, Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering & Technology, TEC Pathankot, KCET Amritsar and from various other colleges had appeared for the Interview.
The Officers Capt Aditya Sah, Capt T. Ranjit Sundran & Lt. CDR Kokila Sajwan from Indian Navy interacted with the students and motivated them to join Indian Navy. They also showed some of the motivational videos regarding why to join India Defence Services.
All the shortlisted candidates shall be receiving the SSB Interview call letters in the month of December 2017 at their correspondence address and they shall be required to appear in the interview either in Bhopal or Bangalore in the month of January, 2018. After their final selection the candidate will be commissioned in Indian Navy as an Officer and he will get an Golden opportunity to work on Navy’s Ships, Submarines & Air Craft’s which are equipped with high-tech technology.
Mr. Sushil Prashar (Head, Department of Training and Placement) appreciated the hard work put in by students and highlighted that special efforts were done to make them ready for Defence Services. He also informed that there is shortage of officers in Indian Defence Services & we at DAVIET putting lot of efforts to prepare them according to the need of Defence Services. He also shared that special guest lectures and workshops were organized from time to time to make the students sharpen their skills to face such interviews. He also thanked the Principal for his constant support and guidance.
