Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Centre celebrated World Environment Day

Ludhiana, June 5, 2016: Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Centre celebrated World Environment Day today in the presence of newly elected President of Council of Architecture Biswaranjan Nayak, who was Chief Guest on the occasion and Architect Vijay Garg Vice President of COA was Guest of Honour.

Gurgoan based Architect Punit Sethi, Chairman Haryana Chapter congratulated the fraternity on the occasion of World Environmental Day and reiterated the resolve that architects can bring about the much needed change towards improvement of the world environment.

Ar.Shant Manchanda Chairman Northern Chapter congratulated newly elected President and Vice President of COA and hoped that the much needed change in education and profession will come about soon .

Ar. Vijay Garg laid stress on reforms required in the architectural education sphere and in upliftment of the profession as the whole. He emphasized the need for improving the aptitude of students joinng architecture as well as the faculty engaged in teaching .
Ar. BIswaranjan Nayak talked about the need of the healthy dialogue between architects and regulatory bodies. He also emphasized that architects in private practice, government jobs and teaching must be aware of each others spheres, strength and challenges.
