INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES STUDENTS HOUR INITIATIVE

Ludhiana, October 31, 2017: Chief commissioner of income tax, Punjab and J& K, Sh.Binay K Jha, launched “Students hour” program on Tuesday. Under the program, students of senior classes of various schools of Ludhiana district will visit the department where income tax officers will make them aware about income tax and working of the department as well.
Giving more information Sh.Jha, said, “On the first day students of BCM School, Shastri Nagar visited the department and our senior officers with their team made them aware about income tax. As students are our budding tax payers, we have started the Students hour program which is aimed at spreading tax awareness amongst students to make them responsible citizens and good tax payers”.
Sh. Jha also said that Income Tax Department, Ludhiana’s Swacch Bharat Swacch Dhan program has been an astounding success by touching lakhs of students and schools in Ludhiana.
Other senior officials of the department present on this occasion included, Additional Commissioner of Income tax Sh. Rohit Mehra, Joint Commissioner of Income tax Sh. Manav Bansal, Deputy commissioner of income tax Sh. Prem Malik, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax Sh. Kamaldeep. Income tax officers Sh. Jaswant and Santosh and tax inspector Sh. Arun Malik were also present.
