DEPUTY DIRECTORS CALLS UPON PEOPLE TO PLANT SAPLINGS FOR THE SAKE OF FUTURE GENERATION
LUDHIANA, July 7, 2018: With an aim to spread green cover in Ludhiana under Mission Tandrust Punjab, the horticulture department celebrated the Van Mahotsav in its offices with plantation of several saplings to mark the occasion from July 1 to July 7.
Deputy Director Horticulture Dr.Jagdev Singh said that during the one-week celebrations of the festival of forests under mission Tandrust Punjab, the staff not only planted various varieties of saplings in their offices but also created awareness on the importance of tree plantation by involving local people through the camps or meetings.
He said that it is the duty of every individual to come forward and plant saplings to provide a healthy environment to the district.
He added that special attention will be laid on the upkeep of the plants. He called upon the people to plant trees for the sake of future generation.
