HMV organised workshop on Enhancing Health by Nutraceuticals and Green Food

Jalandhar, March 25, 2016: PG Department of Botany organised a workshop on the theme of Enhancing Health by Nutraceuticals and Green Food. During the workshop inter-class competitions on fuel less cooking of green and healthy food and slogan writing on nutraceuticals was organized. More than 100 students participated enthusiastically in the competitions thus bringing forward their hidden skills of students. Diksha, Gursimran, Amrit, Vartika, Kiran, Ankita, Gauri, Chitwan and Ananya won prizes in the fuelless cooking competition. Priyanka, Amrit, Harpreet and Prabhjot won prizes in slogan writing competition. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj stressed upon the importance of healthy and green food. She urged the students to stay away from junk food as far as possible. Dr. Meena Sharma also motivated the students to go back to nature and adopt a healthy life style. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Shaveta Chauhan, Dr. Nitika, Mrs. Ramandeep, Dr. Anupam, Ms. Harpreet and Miss Kuwlinder were present on the occasion. The judgement was done by Mrs. Kiranjit, Mrs. Neety Sood, Mrs. Renuka Bhatti, Mrs. Jyoti Kaul, Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Dr. Neelam Sharma, Mr. Harpreet Singh and Dr. Jitender Kumar.
