Jalandhar, November 5, 2014: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar is organising an International Conference on ‘Future and Challenges of Computational and Integrated Sciences’ on November 7-8.  This 2-day International Conference is being organised by PG Departments of Computer Science and Bioinformatics. 

Addressing a press conference, college Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj told that HMV is organising an international conference every year.  This conference ‘ICFC-2014’ will provide a platform for scientists, academicians, analysts, designers and professionals working in different scientific arena to interact and exchange ideas, to discuss problems and solutions.  She told that in inaugural session, Dr. S.K. Sama, Vice President DAV College Managing Committee New Delhi is the Chief Guest and Dr.A.S. Brar, Vice Chancellor, GNDU Amritsar is the Presiding Guest.   The Keynote speech will be delivered by Dr. Pinnamaneni Bhanu Prasad, Director (R&D), France. 

Conference Convener and Head of PG Department of Computer Science Sangeeta Arora told that resource persons and delegates from 10 countries are coming to participate in the conference.  These include delegates from Nigeria, Uganda, France, Singapore, USA, Australia, Rawanda and North Africa.  Delegates from 15 states of India have sent their papers for presentation.  These states are Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, UP, Guwahati, Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh. 

Co-convener of the conference Harpreet Singh of Bioinformatics Department said that other distinguished guest include Sonika Tyagi, Bioinformatics Team Supervisor, Australia, Dr. Andrew, Research Head, University of Rawanda, Rawanda, Dr. Anny, Solution Architect, Sopient, Singapore, Dr. Santosh BIswas, IIT, Guwohati, Oluwoseyi Mogaji, Research Assistant, National Institute of Research, Nigeria. 

A cultural evening is also organised on November 7. Evening for the delegates to make them know the rich culture of Punjab.  Sangeeta Arora told that more than 200 papers have already been received and more delegates are expected on the day of the conference.
