HMV MUN 2016 concluded

Jalandhar, November 7, 2016: The phenomenal and thought provoking proceedings of the three day Model United Nations organized at HMV under the able guidance of Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen drew to its successful conclusion on the eve of the third day. This academic simulation of the United Nations provided a platform to the delegates to voice their opinions on issues of global concern. The chief guest of the day was an exemplary and extra ordinarily competent judge Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud, Vice President DAV College Managing Committee and Chairman Local Committee. Principal Dr. Sareen, Co-coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar and Sanat Arora as a representative of MUN accorded a floral welcome to Justice N.K. Sud and Sh. Kundan Lal Aggarwal.

Beginning with the recital of DAV anthem, Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen offered a cordial welcome to the guests and commended the efforts of the core committee for organizing the event. She also praised the cooperation extended by the delegates and their sensitivity towards the issues under discussion.

The chief guest Justice N.K. Sud also applauded the efforts of the students and organizers. He emphasized that such events prove helpful in promoting the purpose of United Nations to encourage peace and harmony among nations. The delegates with outstanding performance were honoured and awarded with prizes. Justice N.K. Sud was also presented with a token of gratitude. The mesmerizing performance of the Youth Festival winner Giddha team added colour to the evening. Police DAV Public School Jalandhar was adjudged as the best school participant. Showcasing a video of the glimpses of MUN, the conference was declared closed by Sanat Arora. The stage was hosted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
