Shimla, November 27, 2015: Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh laid foundation stone of the Trauma Centre at Khaneri hospital in Rampur Bushahr on Thursday evening. Constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.34 crores, this centre will have round the clock the facility of specialized services including burn unit, operation theatre, intensive care unit etc. and would cater to the emergency treatment requirements in the cases of burns and road accidents of the people of not only Rampur area and adjoining areas of Kullu district besides entire Kinnaur district.

Shri Virbhadra Singh earlier inaugurated Nogli Power House-Devtahn-Kalna-Tanseri-Batuna road constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.40 crores, laid foundation stone of GSSS building at Bhadawali to be completed at an outlay of Rs. 2.35 crores and also inaugurated Panchayat Bhawan at Bhadawali which has come up at an expenditure of Rs. 10.45 lakh.

The Chief Minister later inaugurated Mushroom Compost Production Unit-cum-Training Centre at Dattnagar constructed at a cost of   Rs. 574.35 lakhs.

Addressing a public meeting at Dattnagar, he urged the farming community of the adjoining areas to take maximum benefit of this centre by taking training for mushroom production which was fast emerging as main source of income generation. He said off-season vegetables were another major source of income which farmers should adopt in a big way.

He said this was the fifth such centre in the State having latest and environment friendly indoor composting system to prepare quality manure. This was the only centre in the State which would provide week long free training facility in mushroom cultivation to the fifty farmers at a time.

The Chief Minister said the State government was providing 80 percent subsidy on anti-hail nets which was the best technique to save fruits from hails. Besides subsidy was also being given on construction of poly-houses and the government was also implementing crop insurance scheme for various crops and fruits to benefit the famers and horticulturists.

He also distributed mementos to the progressive apple growers on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Irrigation and Public Health Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes said this centre would bring revolution in Rampur area and adjoining areas of Kullu and Kinnaur districts as the people would get ample self-employment opportunities.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Shri Nand Lal counted the development work being carried out in Rampur constituency. He thanked the Chief Minister for giving added priority to boost the horticulture and agriculture sectors which were the mainstay of economy of the people of the State.

Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Dattnagar Shri Raj Kumar welcomed the Chief Minister while Director, Horticulture Shri D.P. Bhangalia detailed about the Mushroom Compost Production Unit-cum- Training Centre.

Chanderprabha Negi, D.C. Shri Dinesh Malhotra, Chief Architect, PWD Shri N.K. Negi and other prominent persons were present on the occasion.
