Dharamshala, January 19, 2017: Himachal BJP has accused the ruling Congress for providing multifold benefits to few private parties. In a press briefing at Dharamshala on Thursday the state spokesperson of BJP Himanshu Mishra and Rakesh Sharma said that one MRC named group of Punjab has been given land of bus stand at Hindu shrine Chintpurni for 33 years at Rs 56 lakh a year.
Mishra said, “Earlier, the parking fee was collected by the state government and the income per year was Rs 125 lakh. This clearly shows that government itself has reduced the income to Rs 69 lakh per year.”
Rakesh Sharma said that the government earlier was collecting parking fee at Rs 30 for cars and Rs 100 for buses, which have enhanced by this MRC to Rs 100 and Rs 250, making the loss to government a multifold.
Mishra said, “This 26 kanal of land was donated to HP government by three devotees to built bus stand with an agreement that it must not be used for any other purpose. Whereas the MRC group, beside the parking is raising a shopping complex too on the said land.”
The BJP leaders said that the Vir Bhadra Singh-led state government is cheating the public of the state and will be shown the back door coming assembly poll this year.
