Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda with the High Commissioner of Republic of South Africa in India, F.K. Morule, who called on Hooda in New Delhi on Thursday.

New Delhi, March 6, 2014: High Commissioner of Republic of South Africa in India, F.K Morule called on Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda in New Delhi today. Honorary Consul Vikramjit S. Sahney was also with him.
Morule said that South Africa is a pioneer in the field of developing highways, bridges and industrial parks. Haryana and South Africa can have joint ventures in infrastructure development. Both sides can cooperate in the field of agro-food processing also. Sahney suggested that Indian farmers can visit South Africa and buy land there. The agriculture produce raised in South Africa can be imported to India. Tourism in another field, in which both sides can cooperate for mutual benefit, he said.
Hooda said that an International Horticulture Market is being developed in 500 acre area at Gannaur, in the NCR region of Haryana. This will be established in Public-Private Partnership mode. Companies of South Africa can come forward and participate in its development. South African companies can also help in developing cold chain in Haryana for conservation of agriculture produce.
Hooda asked the  Morule to send a delegation to work out the possibilities of collaboration in various fields. The delegation could contact S.S. Dhillon, Principal Secretary to CM, who was also present in the meeting.
During the conversation, Hooda also spoke about the struggles done by both the countries for attaining independence.  Nelson Mandela fought against apartheid and India always supported the cause taken up by Mandel, who was also the follower of Mahatma Gandhi.
Morule asked Hooda to visit South Africa. Mr Hooda said that he would love to visit South Africa, but it could be possible only sometime in the month of June after the elections.
On this occasion, Principal Resident Commissioner of Haryana P.K. Mahapartra and Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Shiv Bhattia were also present.
