Police officers with the seized narcotics at Ferozepur.
Ferozepur, March 6, 2013: The Counter Intelligence Wing Ferozepur on getting a tip-off recovered 8 Kg heroine near the village Fattuwala besides 2 Kg from village Alamgarh near Abohar and having the value of Rs.52 crore in the international market, said Ajay Maluja, AIG, Counter Intelligence.
The police arrested two persons identified as Khukhar Mall and Swarn Singh, who are father and son, on the spot while two associates managed to escape.
In addition to heroin, one pistol, 44 cartridges, two magazines, two Pakistani SIMs and drug money of Rs.1 lakh was also recovered. The Bollero car was also seized by the police.
CIA Staff Abohar during their search operation also recovered 2 Kg heroin worth Rs.10 crore in the international market from village Alamgarh in Abohar on arresting the youth Parsram.
The arrested persons have disclosed that Raju Bhaiya named person of Hanumangarh was to give them handsome amount to deliver in the Punjab.
The cases under NDPS Act has been registered.
The arrested persons have been sent to Amritsar interrogate centre to dig out the actual buyer in Punjab.
