Heroin worth Rs. 130 crores recovered by BSF in Abohar Sector

Ferozepur, December 18, 2021: The troops belonging to 66 Battalion of BSF have recovered 25 packets of heroin weighing 26 Kg in Abohar sector. The estimated cost of the recovered consignment is around Rs. 130 crores.
As per information, the BSF troops observed some suspicious movement ahead of border security fencing during the wee hours following which they challenged the miscreants. However, the miscreants fled back towards Pakistan territory taking advantage of the foggy weather.
Later, a search operation was carried out during which 25 packets of heroin weighing approximate 26 Kg were recovered.
The BSF officials said that the consignment was wrapped with yellow adhesive tape stuffed inside one PVC pipe. They said that besides, two shawls and a piece of navy-blue cloth with some knots, were also recovered.
