Chandigarh, August 13, 2025: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh welcomed the Union Cabinet’s landmark decision under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership to approve four new semiconductor units in the country, including one in Punjab. Chugh said this bold step reflects the Modi government’s vision to make India a global semiconductor hub and marks a giant leap towards self-reliance in high-end electronics manufacturing. He thanked the Prime Minister and the Union Cabinet for ensuring Punjab’s inclusion in this historic industrial expansion.
Chugh said the semiconductor facility in Punjab, to be set up in Mohali, will open a new chapter for the state’s industry, creating jobs for the youth and bringing advanced technology to the region. He said this investment will boost Punjab’s role in India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem and restore the state’s industrial prestige that had been eroded over the past decade.
Chugh said Bhagwant Mann should learn and take notes from Prime Minister Modi — instead of wasting time on fake PR campaigns, Mann should focus on the real development of Punjab. The Land Pooling episode has already proved that the Mann government is in complete collapse and turmoil. People have lost faith in this puppet government, and no longer want CM Mann to remain in office while Kejriwal dictates terms in Punjab.
