Hero DMC Heart Institute receives international accreditation for cardiovascular ultrasound

Ludhiana, August 30, 2014: Dayanand Medical College & Hospital- Unit Hero DMC Heart Institute has been granted Accreditation for Fellowship Training in Echocardiography from International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (ISCU), USA. ISCU is an international organisation of scientists and doctors working with cardiovascular ultrasound. International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (ISCU) was established in 1991 and it is considered to be one of the most authoritative cardiologic and ultrasound international societies in the world. Prof. N.C. Nanda (Father of Modern Echocardiography) is the founding president of ISCU.

Hero DMC Heart Institute has enhanced the quality of care for the cardiac patient and has demonstrated its commitment to higher standards. The Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship provides one year of training in noninvasive cardiovascular imaging to the Fellow. The commission grants accreditation only to those facilities that are found to have processes in place to ensure quality patient care, in compliance with international standards.
