MP Deepinder Singh Hooda accompanies President on Europe visit.
New Delhi/Jalandhar, October 3, 2013: Rohtak MP, Deepender Singh Hooda has accompanied the President Pranab Mukherjee on his six-day State visit to Europe.
President had nominated Deepender Singh Hooda in the delegation going with him during this visit. Alongwith the President, Deepender Hooda and other members of the delegation left for Belgium and Turkey by a special plane.
This is the first visit of Mukherjee to Europe after becoming President.
Before leaving for the visit, Deepender Hooda said that he is very enthused for this visit, particularly because the visit is to focus on the issues of education and culture.
Hooda said that education is the basic necessity for the progress of any country.
The delegation accompanying the President includes Union Minister G.K.Wasan, MP Priya Dutt, Jafar Ali Naqvi, Basnab Charan Parida and Prabhakar Kaur.
Besides senior officers and representatives of UGC and educational institutions.
President Mukherjee is going to Belgium on the invitation of King Phillip, where he will inaugurate a cultural show Europeliya-India 2013-14, alongwith King Phillip. He will be on visit to Turkey from October 5 to 7.
