Rohtak, January 9, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the Haryana Government has taken a significant and historic step in the interest of beekeepers by fixing a protected price of ₹120 per kilogram for honey under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. This initiative will ensure a fair price for their produce and bring income stability to beekeepers.

He further informed that due to schemes such as the National Beekeeping & Honey Mission, India is emerging as a major honey-producing country. Honey exports are continuously increasing, and the sweetness of Indian honey is gaining global recognition. The Haryana Government’s decision to fix a protected price for honey will not only provide economic security to beekeepers but will also prove to be a crucial step toward promoting honey production in the state.

The Deputy Commissioner appealed to beekeepers to register on the Madhukranti Portal (madhukranti.in) and the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana (Honey) Portal (hortharyana.gov.in) to avail the benefits of the scheme. Verification of beekeepers must be carried out within the territorial limits of Haryana.

He informed that the verification period has been fixed up to June 30, 2026. It is mandatory to mark the last four digits of the Family Identity Card (PPP) and the box number on each beehive box. The verification process will be completed by district-level officers.
