Jalandhar, February 16, 2016: The department of Biotechnology of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar on Monday organised a lecture on High Impact Teaching Practice, Classroom Enrichment and student success. On this occasion, Dr. Simran Kaur, Associate Professor, Department of Science & Geology, Queensborough Community College, City University of New York (CUNY) in Queens, New York City, enlightened the students about intellectual skills, understanding of socities and culture. Dr. Arun Dev Sharma, HOD of the department and Dr. J.S Rana, Registrar, welcomed the guest, Dr. Simran Kaur. The lecture was orgainsed by Dr. K.S Rai under Mata Tej Kaur Rai lecture series Dr. Kaur is a full bright- Nehru US-Scholar. Dr. Kaur motivated students to plan for a professionally bright future. She explained the characteristics od ideal teacher, ideal students and told students how to share, learn and gain knowledge. She explained with very good examples from everyday life. Dr. Kaur talk about various methods of classroom enrichment and student success. Students felt very motivated after having a very interactive conversation with Dr. Kaur.
