Grievance Redressal Cell and Social Sensitization Club of LKC celebrate International Women’s Day
The Grievance Redressal Cell and Social Sensitization Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2019 with a special edition marking the historic occasion of the 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev. Dr.Inderjit Kaur, Patron-President All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, Amritsar was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Principal, Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra gave warm welcome to the Chief Guest. He inspired the students to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev and discussed the importance of women in society and importance of growing trees for healthy environment. Dr.Inderjit Kaur enlightened the students about the strength and freedom of women in terms of respect, education, health and sports. She also emphasized on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which help in building up good moral character in us. The occasion was also marked by the presence of Dr. Gagandeep Kaur (Convener of Grievance Redressal Cell), Prof. Amita Shahid (Convener of Social Sensitization Club), Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Prof. Arunjit Kaur, Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Dr. Manmeet Sodhi, Dr. Ubique Bedi, Prof. Rupinder Kaur and Dr. Upma Arora.
