Ludhiana, March 31, 2016: Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal today said that there is no shortage of funds when it comes to overall development of the state. He said that development projects worth several crores have been started in Payal constituency and day is not far when this constituency would become one of the best in the state. Dr Atwal said this while addressing impressive gatherings at different villages of Payal constituency today.
Today, grants worth Rs 90 lakh were handed over to different village panchayats by Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal. Out of this Rs 90 lakh grants, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker said that Rs 23 lakh has been sanctioned for village Seehan Daud, Rs 15.50 lakh for village Rabbon Uchi, Rs 13 lakh for village Babarpur, Rs 11 lakh for village Sohian, Rs 10 lakh for village Uksi, Rs 5.20 lakh for village Uchi Daud, Rs 5 lakh for village Kishanpura Nawan Pind, Rs 4 lakh for village Rabbon Nichi, Rs 3 lakh for village Burkara, besides several others.
At village Uchi Daud, Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal said that the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janta Party led Punjab government is committed for the overall development of the state and that is why, even the rural areas are being developed at par with the urban areas of the state.
While addressing the gatherings in these villages, Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal said that the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janta Party led Punjab government is committed for the overall development of the state. He said that is why, Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal has formulated a plan in which the all rural villages of the state are developed at par with the urban areas.
He said that for preserving our history and culture, several memorials have been constructed in the state which include Maharaja Dalip Singh Memorial (Bassian Kothi), Chappar Chiri, Virasat-E-Khalsa, besides several others. Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal stated that the train from Payal to Hazoor Sahib under the Chief Minister Tirath Yatra Scheme would leave on May 31, 2016.
