Freshers Party Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Department of Computer Science & IT
The Post Graduate Department of Computer Science & IT, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized a vibrant Freshers Party to warmly welcome the new students to the college. The event was filled with enthusiasm, excitement and a spirit of togetherness.
Jalandhar, October 3, 2026: The Post Graduate Department of Computer Science & IT, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized a vibrant Freshers Party to warmly welcome the new students to the college. The event was filled with enthusiasm, excitement and a spirit of togetherness.
Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu welcomed the new students and inspired them to make the most of their academic journey. He encouraged the students to participate actively in college activities, explore their potential and strive for excellence. Head of the Department, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, motivated the students and extended his best wishes for their successful and enriching journey in the department. He encouraged the freshers to work hard and actively participate in both academic and co-curricular activities.
The celebration featured a variety of entertaining activities, engaging performances and fun-filled competitions, creating a memorable beginning for the new students. The highlight of the event was the selection of Mr. Fresher – Moksh and Ms. Fresher – Evleen. Other special titles were also awarded to the deserving participants, with Mr. Dazzle – Mantej, Ms. Diva – Roshni, Mr. Intellectual – Charanjit, Ms. Intellectual – Jasleen Kaur, and Show Stopper – Parveen Kaur. The excitement was further enhanced with the Bumper Prize, which was won by Harpreet Kaur and Kartik. The students enthusiastically participated in the various activities and performances, making the celebration lively and memorable.
The event was attended by Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr. Manpreet Lehal, Prof. Ratnakar Mann, Dr. Daljit Kaur, Prof. Navneet Kaur and Prof. Annie Goel. Other teaching and non-teaching staff members of the department were also present and extended their support to make the celebration successful.
The Freshers Party was coordinated by Prof. Ravinder Kaur, Prof. Rakhi and Prof. Jasdeep Singh, whose dedicated efforts contributed significantly to the successful organization of the event.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving the freshers with wonderful memories of their first celebration in the department and marking a warm, exciting and memorable beginning to their college journey.
