PCM S.D. College for Women Organises Employability Skills Training Programme
The Placement Cell of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organised an Employability Skills Training Programme for students with the support of Mahindra Rise and implemented by the Naandi Foundation. The programme aimed at equipping students with essential skills required for professional growth and enhancing their overall employability.
Jalandhar, October 3, 2026: The Placement Cell of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organised an Employability Skills Training Programme for students with the support of Mahindra Rise and implemented by the Naandi Foundation. The programme aimed at equipping students with essential skills required for professional growth and enhancing their overall employability.
The training programme was conducted by Anju Jain, Trainer, Naandi Foundation, in two batches under the coordination of Rajni Kapoor and Dr. Divya Budhia, In-charges, Placement Cell. The first batch comprised 34 students and involved 7 days/40 hours of training, while the second batch included 47 students and involved 6 days/36 hours of training.
The programme focused on developing students’ communication skills, confidence, personality development, teamwork, leadership abilities, interview skills, group discussion skills, workplace etiquette, problem-solving abilities and overall job readiness. The sessions followed an interactive and activity-based methodology, encouraging students to actively participate and practise various employability skills.
The programme was successfully completed by 81 students across both batches. The training helped students enhance their confidence, improve their communication skills and develop a better understanding of professional behaviour and workplace expectations. Certificates were also awarded to the students on successful completion of the training programme.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, the other members of the Managing Committee and the Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar lauded the efforts of the Placement Cell and appreciated the initiative for providing students with valuable employability skills and industry-oriented training opportunities.
