Four drug peddlers nabbed by STF (Amritsar) in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, February 23, 2018: Four noted drug peddlers identified as Manjit Singh, resident of Village Hajara Singh Wala in Mamdot block and three brothers identified as Sharma Singh, Satnam Singh and Gulshan Singh, residents of Village Tahliwala in Jalalabad sub-division of Fazilka district by Special Task Force (STF) Amritsar besides 2.5 Kg heroin was recovered from them.

Rachhpal Singh, AIG, STF (Border Range) said that all the accused were involved in drug peddling for the last several years. He said that Manjit Singh had procured agricultural land across the fencing on contract basis near village Jalloke. “They used to receive consignment and later they deliver it to other peddlers functioning in other areas including Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Fazilka. They have admitted their crime during interrogation adding four packets of heroin weighing 2Kg 50 gram were recovered from the fields in Jalloke", said AIG Rachhpal.
