FIEO participates in the 2017 Southeast and South Asian Countries Commodity Fair & Investment and Business Forum Kunming (Yunnan Province), China, from June 11-18, 2017

With an objective to enhance India’s presence in China and showcase Indian products, Federation of Indian Export Organisations, (FIEO) is participating with 100 booths, in the 2017 Southeast and South Asian Countries Commodity Fair & Investment and Business Forum co hosted by Yunnan People’s Government, China Chamber of International Commerce and China-ASEAN Centre.
FIEO has been participating in this expo since its first year. The 7-day Expo, a combination of trade fair and high level forums for investment and trade promotion discussions between China and South Asia (including South East Asia) is part of China’s “Bridgehead Construction” strategy to establish Kunming city and Yunnan province as a gateway between China and its neighbours to the south and the west.
FIEO’s participants include Indian companies from various sectors such as Leather, Jute, Textile & Garments, Handicrafts such as Carpets, Wooden furniture etc, Spices, Essential oils & Cosmetics, Semi-precious Jewellery etc.
Shri Ganesh Kumar Gupta, President, FIEO will lead a Pan India delegation of exhibitors and will deliver an address on “Challenging Opportunities: Employment Creation and Innovative Investment” at the Opening ceremony of 12th China-South Asia Business Forum. Dr Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO, FIEO is a panelist speaker in the sub forum panel discussion on “Experience and Enlightenment of Internationalization of Indian Enterprises”.
This event will be a good opportunity for Indian businesses to showcase their products and establish trade linkages with not only mainland China, but also from the other countries of South and South-East Asia and will help in strengthening ties paving way for greater cooperation in trade and investment.
