Ludhiana, December 28, 2015: In an interaction between Mr Sandeep Singh Kaura Advisor, Skilled Development Mission Govt Of Punjab with Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization at Ludhiana, the President of FICO, Mr Gurmeet Singh Kular & the Industrialists of Ludhiana assured that FICO would provide Technology, Trainers & employment & requested Mr Sandeep Singh Kaura Advisor, Skilled Development Mission Govt Of Punjab for the residential facilities , Infrastructure, food on subsidised rates & transportation for the students undergoing the training at these Multi- Skilled Centres
The representatives of FICO promised that they would absorb at least ten thousand such trained manpower in to the Industry at Ludhiana . This would in turn reduce the dependence of the state on migratory labour & hence employing the the people from Punjab by default . Skill, no doubt , is no substitute for Infrastructure , like in a country like China there are 8000 Universities/ Skilled Centres in comparison in India, we have a mere 600 Universities & hence the need of the hour is is the establishment of such Centres that would provide technical –skilled manpower to Textile , sewing machine,machine –tools industry , bicycle industry & auto-electrical industry in our state. These State of art multi skill development Centres will enhance the development & Economy of our State.
In this meeting Mr Sandeep Singh Kaura Advisor, Skilled Development Mission Govt Of Punjab told that road map of setting up these Centres has been Chalked out & Requirement of Each Segment of Textile , sewing machine,machine –tools industry , bicycle industry & auto-electrical industry would be called for Finalisation
It will give a boost to our State's Industry by Employing People from the state of Punjab said Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO
