ZED clause should be abolished for Fiscal Incentives: According to new industrial policy 2017, the financial benefits will be provided to those units having ZED certification. Industry of Punjab is not that advance to meet the compliance of ZED, it is notable that only 4 units out of 8000 in Punjab has got the ZED certification. It is requested that the ZED clause should be abolished for Fiscal Incentives. Dhanansu Focal point: It has been more than 2 years since the Dhanansu Focal point has been announced, but if we talk about the ground reality, there isn’t a proper road network connecting the Proposed Dhanansu Focal point with Ludhiana. It is humbly requested that the work for the same should be started immediately so that industry can flourish in the Cycle Valley in Dhanansu Focal Point. Funding for Upgradation of existing Focal points in Punjab: The Infrastructure of Focal Point of Punjab is in its worst shape ever, the Roads and sewerage are in poor condition, the industrialists feel ashamed to bring their customers to factories through these roads. The movement of goods through these road is a very tough task. Moreover, Female staff and Workers are showing reluctance in joining Industries as they feel unsafe due to poor Roads and Infrastructure. It is requested to the government to release the funds for the upgradation of Road & Sewerage Networks in Focal Points of Punjab. Streetlights in Industrial Areas & Focal Points of Punjab: It has been observed that at least 70% of the street lights in the focal points are not working, whereas the Municipal Corporations are paying to the contractors. We request you kindly look into the matter and do the needful, it is also advised that all the streetlights should be replaced with modern day LED lights, which are not only energy efficient but also more bright.
