Jalandhar, April 19, 2016: The Executive Committee Meeting of All India Punjab National Bank Retired Officers Association, Jalandhar Unit held in Hotel Seikhon Grand, Jalandhar City recently. Members from Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur,Nawanshahar,Gurdaspur and Pathankot Districts participated in the meeting.
Sh.C.M.Mahna, President,presided over the meeting and welcomed the participants and Sh. V.K.Dhawan, Sh. M.L.Jassal and Sh.K.B.Sharma as special invitees. Sh Mahna informed that Jalandhar Unit of the Association is working for the last 16 years and serving the members with sincerity,dedication and full devotion. Sh. Mahna narrated the Salient Features of the new Medical Insurance Scheme launched by the bank through Indian Banks Association for the Retirees which is on Cashless basis.
Sh V.K.Sharma, Joint Secretary Central Committee, informed in details the latest position of the Up-dation of Pension case which has been admitted in the Supreme Court,recently,through Sh. M.C.Singla our member. Sh. Sharma also informed that in the 100% neutralisation of DA case in SC has been fixed for hearing on 25.04.2016.
Sh. J.K.Beri,Secretary, carried on the discussion/sugession as per the agenda items.He informed the house about the sad and unexpected demise of our members/close relatives of our members. On the appeal of Sh. Beri, the members observed onr minute silence for paying the tribute to the departed souls.
Sh. Rikhi Ram Aggarwal, Sr Executive member expressed his anguish for not allowing Updation of Pension of the Retired Officers of the Bank. Presently a Clerk retired recently gets more Pension than a General Manager retired 7-8 years earlier.
Following resolutions were passed in the meeting:
---Revision of Pension on the lines of Centre/State Govt. Pensioners (Updation of Pension).
---Improvement in Family Pension.
---Uniform Dearness Relief.
---Increse in welfare fund for Retired Emoloyees.
---and Increse in ex-gratia payment to pre-1986 retirees.
S/Sh. S.D.Sharma, K.S.Nanda, M.P.Singh, Om Parkash, C.S.Gautam, S.K.Puri, V.K.Dhawan, M.L.Jassal, K.B.Sharma and others also expressed their views/sugessions on this occassion.
Sh. R.S.Klaria, Patron thanked all the members for their participation and cooperation. He assured all possible help to the members of the association.
