EDUCATION: An Auspicious Start for Apeejay

Jalandhar, July 6, 2015: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar on Monday started the new session with a Hawan.  The staff members led by the Principal, Dr Sucharita prayed for an auspicious start of the forthcoming session with the chanting of Vedic hymns and mantras to seek the blessings of God. Mr Vivek Verma from the Department of Music Vocal sang Bhajan to invoke the divine blessings.  This was followed by a staff meeting which commenced with a two minutes silence observed in the memory of Sh. S.L. Mishra, the first Principal of the College who passed away recently.  The departmental heads made presentations explaining in detail the agenda for meeting the challenges of their respective departments in the forthcoming session.  Dr. Sucharita welcomed the new faculty as well as the students, and wished everyone a fruitful session ahead.
