Dr.Surbhi Sharma Receives Best Paper Presentation Award

Jalandhar, October 13, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar have created its niche in the field of academics. Adding one more feather to its cap, Dr.Surbhi Sharma, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics of KMV received Best Paper Presentation Award at an International Conference on Science & Technology Research (ICSTR- Barcelona) which was organized by the Scientific & Technology Research Association (STRA) at Campus de la Ciutadella, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Surbhi was the only speaker from India who participated in the conference. She presented her research work on the topic "Effect of Te additive on thermal stability and glass forming tendency of Ge-Sn-Se chalcogenide glass system''. Explaining about her work, she told that her research work reports the thermal characterization of quaternary chalcogenide glass system. Glasses under study showed good thermal stability and hence can find practical applications especially in fibre optical technology and phase change memory storage. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi applauded the efforts of Dr. Surbhi and averred that this is a very good learning experience for her and in KMV we always promote our faculty to research thoroughly and highlight the work done on national as well as global level.
