Departments told to furnish status report of court cases

Chandigarh, October 14, 2014: The  Punjab government has directed all the departments to furnish the status report of all such court cases in which Chief Secretary, Punjab has been made party, or such cases in which directions have been issued to the Punjab government or where state government has been directed for compliance of court orders or any other case which is under process in any Commission.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the General Administration Department said that all the Administrative Secretaries have been told to ensure the compliance and send the report to the General Administration Department (Monitoring Cell) on the prescribed Performa by October 18. He said that hard copy as well as E-mail of the requisite information has also been sought. The spokesperson said that the state government was monitoring the status of each and every case in courts so that there was no lapse on the part of the government to comply  with the directions of the Hon’ble courts.

The spokesperson further said that departments have been instructed to send such reports on monthly basis by 7th of every next month. Departments have also been told to furnish the details of Nodal Officer/Law Officer of the department his mobile number and E-mail ID.
