Department of Telecommunications organises Pension Adalat cum Medical Health Check Up camp

Ferozepur, March 21, 2017: The Government of India, Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunications, New Delhi’s nodal office i.e Controller of Communications Accounts, Chandigarh today organized Pension Adalat cum Free Medical Health Check up camp for the Pensioners of the Department and BSNL.
Jaspreet Kaur, Assistant Controller while talking to the media persons said that under the “Digital India Campaign” of the PM Narendra Modi, the office has launched a “Mobile Application” for the Pensioners and the employees of the Department of Telecommunications in the State of Punjab to register their grievances. “These grievances will be redressed by the replies on the mobiles of the Pensioner/ employee by the department. The Mobile Application can be down loaded from Google Play Store”, she said. While talking she further added that keeping in view the time to time instructions under “Digital India Campaign”, the office in association with Bank of India has also organized an awareness session for the Pensioners to make them aware of Digital Baking transactions and how to use the ATM machines.
She said that to facilitate the Pensioners, their office has designated a dedicated officer as “Pension Mittra”, who interacts with the Pensioners and if required, is also ready to reach in person to provide service to the pensioners, wherever there is a need, it was also informed by the Joint controller that the office has already setup Public Relation Wing for single window interface.
She also informed that under the flagship of Controller Sharon Shefali Gupta, the office has been conducting Pension Adalats and Free Medical Health Check up camps in almost all the Districts (SSA wise) in the State of Punjab. on this occasion, Vinod Nijhawan, Balwinder Singh, Harbans Singh, Gurminder Kaur and Rahul were also present.
