D.A.V.College IT Fest -2016 Concludes

Jalandhar, March 23, 2016: DAV College Jalandhar today observed the great glory, pomp and show of the "IT Fest- 2016”, where people were only made to enjoy the fun and frolic , but their attention was also derived towards the ongoing irrationalities in the society .Against drugs , against the bad behavior depicted against elders , all such things were represented through Choreography.
"According to a survey, India is at 122nd rank on revealing happy feelings but here in the DAV auditorium, seeing your kids smiling, I feel India is at the top undoubtedly , and I extend my fortunate pride towards this inexplicable enthusiasm and presentation " said the Chief Guest Shri Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAV Management Committee, New Delhi.
The event was initiated with the lamp lighting ceremony by honorable Principal Dr B B Sharma, IT department Head Prof Nischay Bahl, IT forum president Prof Lekha Jindal and revered chief guest at the occasion Shri Arvind Ghai. Further the chief guest was welcomed warmly with the bouquet of flowers along with the DAV anthem.Prof Nischay Bahl (Head of department) gave a speech regarding allbtge departmental affairs and welcomed with a warm heart all the dignitaries .Principal Dr B B Sharma , Vice Principal Prof VK Sareen , Registrar Prof A K Bhardwaj honoured Chief guest Shri Arvind Ghai with a souvenir -a token of gratitude .Shri Arvind Ghai at the occasion said "I am feeling joyous , and feel young and lively to be amongst these youngsters . Such events not only refreshen up ones but make us aware of our cultural issues and heritage" He inspired the students to stay happy and have a smile on your faces, no matter what the situation is.
The cultural event started with Ishita singing ghazal " Aaj Jane ki zidd Na karo, yuhn hi pehlu mein Bethe rho " created a melody in the entire auditorium .Neeraj sang a ghazal and then dancing divas danced to their best, followed by harpal singing beautifully. Gumnaam group danced and made everyone feel thrilled .Loveleen Ruchika made everyone danced with their beats and Hardik with his divine voice won all hearts , and Tanisha Preeti danced beautifully to the best of their ability .Ki banu duniya da Choreography presented a raw picture of what those girls have to go through who run away from homes and marry , and they inspired not to take such rigid steps and do everything under the elders blessings and gave goose bumps to all .The skit written and directed completely under the aegis of Prof Rajesh war Sharma "Ik bola te ik rola " was so divinely performed where it was depicted how today's kids after they grow up , leave their parents in old age homes -their parents who bought them into this world and did their upbringing .. And the kids leave them just like that -so harsh! It made everyone emotional .Filmzade Choreography "late lateef group” showed the paradigm shift and extensive transition of romance in the Bollywood and depicted the picture of generation gap. They were given huge round of applause.
BCA girls thrilled everyone with the dancing skills. BSC swaggers Performed a group danced and Ishita tuned the environment on a melodic note with her ghazal . Jeet sunny (guest of honor ) entertained everyone with his songs .BSC showed their Choreography skills and BCA students gave a dance performance with Nirmal , Sunirudh and Ravinder gave their solo songs performance .BSC IT gave a thrilling bhangra performance enthriling everyone at the enthusiastic beats . Hardik and Ishita with their medley singing looked like a koel singing and in the end MSC and BSC students performed Giddha and won all hearts .
