Ferozepur, May 24, 2016: In a bizarre incident, a Dalit boy was allegedly murdered by a farmer over a minor issue today afternoon at Village Dholewala in Ferozepur.
As per information available, Sukhdev (18) son of Jagtar Singh, a resident of Village Ichhewala was going on the road. When he passed through the fields of a farmer and a resident of his Dholewala village, he was tempted to see the crop of corn in the fields. Sukhdev disband a few corn and started eating them.
When farmer saw the incident he came to Sukhdev and allegedly started abusing him. Suddenly he allegedly brandished his revolver towards Sukhdev and shot him in head. Sukhdev did not get any chance to move and died on the spot.
The news spread like a wild fire and meanwhile farmer managed to escape. As soon as the matter was reported, the police swung into action.
Satnam Singh DSP (D) and Jasbir Singh, SHO, Kulgarhi Police station reached the spot. Later, a case under section 302 was registered at Kulgarhi police station. SHO Jasbir Singh said that the police have launched a hunt to nab the accused.
