Dalai Lama back in Dharamshala , next schedule to Japan from November 17

Dharamshala, October 24, 2016: warm welcome was accorded by Tibetans and devotees when Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama returned back to His exile home Dharamshala on Monday , following a five-country trip of Europe from 8 to 24 October 2016.
On his arrival at Gaggal Airport of Dharamshala , Dalai Lama was received by Sikyong (PM in Exile )Dr Lobsang Sangay, Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel and officials of Central Tibetan Administration.
The Chief Justice Commissioner Mr Kargyu Dhondup along with the two Justice Commissioners of Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission, members of Kashag and Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok received His Holiness at his residence.
According to the office of Dalai Lama , His upcoming schedule includes public talk on ‘Compassion – The Key to Happiness’ in Yokohama, Japan on 17 November, organised by Office of Tibet, Japan.
From 3 – 14 January 2017, He will be giving the Kalachakra initiation at the request of the Kashag, at Bodh Gaya, Bihar. During the first three days of the Kalachakra, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, along with the monks of Namgyal Monastery and senior lamas, will conduct rituals to consecrate the venue.
From 6 to 8 January, His Holiness will give preliminary teachings on Shantideva’s A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life (chodjug) and Kamalashila’s The Middling Stages of Meditation (gomrim barpa).
From 10 to 13 January, His Holiness will confer the Kalachakra Initiation, followed a long life empowerment (tsewang) and a ceremony of offering prayers for the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 17 January.
