CT Group holds seminar on frontier technologies as innovative tools
Jalandhar, November 22, 2019: The Institution of Engineers (India) Ludhiana Local chapter in association with the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus organized a seminar on Frontier Technologies as an innovative tool to transform waste to wealth. Welcoming the Chief Guest, CT Group Chairman Charanjit Singh Channi and Er. R.L. Mahajan, Chairman IE(I), Ludhiana Local Centre welcomed the guests. In his address, Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group said that with the world of technology is rapidly changing and hence the students are needed to be more innovative to find solutions to the problems around them. Er.Surjit Singh, Honorary Secretary, IE(I) while giving introduction about activities of the institution said that institution of Engineers (India) was one of the oldest bodies of engineers which was incorporated vide Royal Charter in 1920. On this day, Singh said, “Frontier technologies such as automation, robotics, electric vehicles, renewable energy technologies etc. can possibly transform the social, economic and environmental spheres”. Two technical lectures were delivered by faculty members from CT Group on the theme of the day. One of the speakers said, “These technologies offer the potential of better, cheaper, faster, scalable and easy to use solutions for everyday problems “ Delivering vote of thanks, Dr. G.S. Kalra, Campus Director, CT Institutes said that the Group is providing holistic development of students and would seek to cooperate further with The Institution of Engineers (India) for furthering the technical interests of the students. Present on the occasion were Ar. Shruti, HOD (Architecture), CT Group, Er. Surjit Singh, Honorary Secretary, IE(I), Dr. Arvind Dhingra, Ex-Honorary Secretary, IE(I) and others.
