Jathedar Jagdev Singh Talwandi undergoing treatment at a private hospital at Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, September 7, 2014: The condition of senior Akali leader and former president of the Shriomni Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) Jathedar Jagdev Singh Talwandi (85) is improving. He has been undergoing treatment in HERO DMC Heart Institute for the last a few days. He is suffering from a cardiac ailment, according to available information.
As his condition is improving now, there is a possibility that he may soon be discharged from the hospital. A large number of people, especially politicians and ministers, are making a beeline to visit the hospital concerned to enquire about his health. Those who have visited to enquire about his health included Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, BJP Punjab president Kamal Sharma, Parliamentary Secretary Som Parkash, SGPC member Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal.
Jathedar Jagdev Singh Talwandi hails from Raikot in Ludhiana District. He had been an MLA thrice and MP once. Besides, he had also been on the post of president Akali Dal and president SGPC.
