Chandigarh, February 1, 2013: In a bid to facilitate the people of the state, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today approved to allot 0.98 acres (4743.2 sq. yards) of land to Punjab State General Administration department for the construction of their office complex in sector 79, SAS Nagar (Mohali).

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the CMO informed that Badal has cleared the file in this regard and PWD being a nodal agency  would pay Rs. 7,11,48,000 to GMADA for this land@ Rs. 15,000 per yard as per the land allotment rules for the government departments.

It may be recalled here that Punjab State General Administration department had planned to shift their all scattered offices under one roof in Mohali to avoid undue harassment to the general public.
