CM making strenuous efforts to consolidate fiscal position of the state: Rana

Kapurthala, July 22, 2017: Power Minister Punjab Rana Gurjeet Singh today said that strenuous efforts were being made by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to consolidate the Fiscal position of the state, which had been ruined by previous SAD-BJP alliance government.
Interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of a function to dedicate two mobile transformer vans to the people here today, the Minister said that Captain Amarinder Singh was chalking out a comprehensive strategy for giving new direction to the state. Slamming the previous SAD-BJP alliance government, he said that this corrupt and useless government had derailed the development of the state and pushed it back on all fronts. However, Rana Gurjit Singh said that under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh a framework was being prepared to give a major push to all the key sectors including agriculture diversification, industrial growth and others.
Training his guns against the opposition, the Minister said that these people were indulging in malicious propaganda against the state government just to hog media limelight. However, he said that the state government under Captain Amarinder Singh was working tirelessly to carve out a new and progressive Punjab, which would be frontrunner state in the country. Rana Gurjit Singh said that the Sangat Darshans of Badals had ruined the state whereas the farsighted policies of Captain Amarinder Singh would help in constructing a new Punjab. “Under Badals our state had gone directionless, but now Captain Amarinder Singh ji is busy in giving a new direction to state with futuristic planning and development oriented policies”, he added.

The Cabinet Minister said that the state government was committed to wipe out the curse of drugs from the state. He said that all the big fish in drug trade would be put behind the bars by the state government. Rana Gurjit Singh said that Captain Amarinder Singh government would eliminate the scourge of drugs from state, for which concerted efforts were already afoot.
Earlier, reiterating the firm commitment of state government to provide uninterrupted Power supply to the people, the Power Minister dedicated two mobile transformer vans to the people. Addressing the gathering he said that these vans would act as a catalyst for ensuring uninterrupted Power supply to the people. He said that in case of any sort of disruption in power supply due to fault in transformer these vans would be immediately deployed at that point to provide relief to people by supplying regular power to them. Rana Gurjit Singh said that the basic aim behind launching these vans was to ensure convenience to the people as uninterrupted Power supply would be available to them round the clock.
