CICU Organised Awareness Seminar on MSME Schemes for benefit of Industry

Ludhiana, May 31, 2016: MSME Development Institute, GoI, Ludhiana and Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana with the help of Sewing Machine Development Club, Ludhiana organised an Awareness Seminar on MSME Schemes for the benefit of Industries on Monday at Queen Plaza, Shimla Puri ,Ludhiana. More than 150 entrepreneurs attended this seminar. The main motive of this programme was to provide details of the various schemes for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and to aware the youth to take advantages of these. Sh. Vijay Kumar, Director, MSME –DI was the Chief Guest in the Programme. He said about the benefits of availing such schemes and stressed upon the participants to come forward and take advantages. He said that Entrepreneurs should develop new Designs and new Machines under the Design Clinic scheme of Govt. of India. He assured full cooperation and support for implementation.
Sh. Avtar Singh, President, CICU said that MSME DI and CICU both are working for the development of Industries and providing all type of help for the development .He advised the members to come forward and avail the benefits. Sh Jagbir Singh Sokhi, President of Sewing Machine Development Club and Councilor informed the gathering about the threat from China in Sewing Machine industry. He said that there is a need to implement these schemes to compete the International Markets.
Sh. Upkar Singh, General Secretary CICU presented the benefit through implementation of Lean manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme in various sectors. He invited the Industrials to visit units and see the actual results of reducing the Cost of Production. Former Assistant Director of MSME Sh. S.S .Bedi said that the industrialists are taking advantages of MSME schemes in other States but we are lacking behind. It is right time for implementation and availing the facilities from Govt. of India. Sh. Kulwant Singh, General Secretary of Sewing Machine Development Club, Ludhiana appreciated the steps taken in organizing this Programme .He said that members are in need of such Schemes. Sh. Kundan Lal, Assistant Director of MSME –DI, Ludhiana presented the vote of thanks and assured that MSME-DI is always ready to help the Entrepreneurs.
