Jalandhar, December 1, 2015: Success is Where Preparation and Opportunity Meet and this was proved true by the students of our school when they bagged the Champion’s Trophy in Under 19 category in the Athletics Tournament held at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University from 20th - 23rd November 2015. It was a matter of pride and honour when students won varied athletics events in various categories. Though stiff competition was witnessed between participants of various events but the spectators cheered the participants and the resonance of their applause motivated the athletes greatly.
Kamalpreet Singh of class XI won Gold medal in 1500 mts and 5000 mts. Gurindervir Singh of class XI made the school proud by winning medals in various events. He won Gold in 400 mts ,Silver in 800 mts, Silver Medal In 4*100 relay Race and Bronze Medal in 4*400 mts Relay Race. In Under 16 category , Preetpal Singh took the Best Athlete Award by winning Gold in both 100 and 200 mts race. Lakshay Sharma also won the Bronze Medal in Triple Jump.
The hard work, training and the efforts put in by Sports Department for training the athletes to perfection was lauded by one and all. Participants expressed their heartfelt thanks to their sports teachers for providing them useful guidance and training so as to excel in various fields.
On this occasion, Chairman of the school Mr. Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Mr. Deepak Bhatia Chairman Learning Wings Mr. J.K Kohli, Dr Brijesh, Mr. Nitin Kohli, Academic Director Ms Deepa Dogra and Principal mam Ms. Kiranjoth Dhillon appreciated all the students for such whole- hearted involvement in the game . They advised them to keep putting in so much effort regularly also so that they can outshine others in all the events to come.
