Central University of Punjab Students win Multiple Honours at AIU National Youth Festival

The students of the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, delivered an outstanding performance at the 39th AIU National Youth Festival, held at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, bringing laurels to the university by securing several top positions in different cultural and literary events.

Bathinda, March 17, 2026: The students of the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, delivered an outstanding performance at the 39th AIU National Youth Festival, held at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, bringing laurels to the university by securing several top positions in different cultural and literary events.
The university contingent achieved one first position, four second positions, and one third position across various categories. The students won first position in Hindi Elocution. They also secured second positions in English Elocution, Group Song (Indian), Ghazal, and Skit, while third position was achieved in the Mime competition.
Cultural Coordinator Dr. Rishpal Singh Virk informed that the students’ performances received widespread appreciation during the festival. He noted that their dedication, talent, and teamwork played a crucial role in securing these honours on the national stage.
The contingent was accompanied by Dr. Deepika Srivastava, Dr. Kulin Kumar Joshi, Dr. Adish Kumar Verma, Baldeep Singh, Rohit, and Sandeep Kumar, who guided and supported the students throughout the festival.
Congratulating the students and mentors, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari said that the remarkable achievement reflects the university’s commitment to nurturing holistic talent among students. He stated that CU Punjab encourages students to excel not only in academics but also in cultural and creative pursuits, and the success at the AIU National Youth Festival showcases the vibrant talent, diversity, and collaborative spirit of young minds representing the university at the national level.
Prof. Sanjeev Thakur, Dean Student Welfare, commended the accomplishment and expressed hope that such achievements would inspire more students to actively participate in cultural and artistic platforms and continue to bring pride to the university and the region.
