Bangalore, November 5, 2026: Canadian International School (CIS) hosted their 11th TeachConX, a 2 day teaching and learning conference, with the theme of Unlearning. The event had 200 educators and leaders in attendance focused on how to question, collaborate, and rethink how we teach. This year’s theme explored the courage to redefine what we understand, what we can do, and who we need to become and finally to let go of what no longer serves us.
With author and renowned international educator, Tania Lattanzio, attendees learnt how inquiry can shift the way we think about teaching, student engagement, and understanding. “It was wonderful to have the opportunity to be a facilitator for TeachConX. Across two days, I ran six different kinds of workshops and presented a keynote. The most exciting part about the event was getting to connect, share, collaborate, co-construct learning, and learn from different educators and leaders from early years to secondary. As a facilitator, though you are tasked to impart your knowledge and understanding, you always end up learning more as well”, shares Tania Lattanzio on her experience at the conference.
Shefali, Head of Learning at Canadian International School, highlights that the “Unlearnings and new learnings from this year’s conference have been timely and valuable in the changing nature of the educational landscape. As Tania shared, we can’t keep adding more to what we do. Instead, we need to curate and remove things to make place for new and more relevant practices.” Through conversations on AI, experiential learning, inquiry, research, and learning in times of change, TeachConX invited attendees to question established practices and consider what meaningful education can look like today and tomorrow.
Kevin Wilson, Founder and Director of Tala Education, gave two sessions about ‘Unlearning How We Teach Music and Movement’, that were well-received by attendees. He shared a simple framework for approaching music and playing confidently that puts a child's interests at heart. “I loved how TeachConX challenged us to question our habits as ‘teachers teach the way they were taught’. I am glad CIS is creating space for this shift, nurturing curiosity in both children and teachers”, he reflected.
TeachConX 2026 was a platform for educators to participate in conversations about the changing landscape that their students go through with the advancement of AI technology. As Ms. Shefali explains, “It is increasingly becoming about transferable skills & human connection, while maintaining the balance with technological advancement.” Having opportunities like TeachConX ensures teachers are continuously improving their pedagogy to match the everchanging world the students are facing.
